After entering early summer in 2026, many regions in South and East China will experience continuous rainy weather and high humidity. For pet-owning families, the most common "misjudgment" during this period is attributing symptoms like slipping, itching, and changes in appetite solely to "the weather," while forgetting to document observable signals. This results in an inability to match timelines when reviewing the situation two weeks later.
This issue, we minimized the actions but ensured verifiability
1) Anti-slip measures: After returning from outdoor activities in the rain, prioritize noting "whether feet were wiped/dried" and "whether toes turned red," rather than simply recording "raining.".
2) Ear canal: Ear canal issues are more common in hot and humid weather, but frequent deep cleaning is not recommended at home. The key points of observation should be "presence of odor, frequency of head shaking, and areas of scratching." Seek medical attention if abnormalities occur and avoid self-medication.
3) Grain Moisture Prevention: For opened grain, it is recommended to note "Opening Date + Storage Location (whether exposed to sink/window sill)." If clumping or rancid odor is detected, discontinue use immediately and record the reason for discontinuation—do not force consumption.
Minimum Maintenance This Week (Choose Any Two):
Take a photo of the "corner water accumulation/area rug condition" in the frequently used activity area with the date noted;
Check for mold spots (especially at plastic joints) near drinking water points at least once;
If the pet exhibits soft stools, record the following for 48 consecutive hours: "whether the food batch was changed, whether human food was eaten, and whether there was a sudden increase in water intake.".
Note: This article provides guidance on home observation and recording methods, which cannot replace professional medical diagnosis. If symptoms such as persistent vomiting, bloody stools, or lethargy persist, seek medical attention promptly.
