[Platform Announcement] Separating food and medicine in multi-pet households: Three common mistakes in pet records (with corresponding examples)

When you have two or more pets, the biggest pitfall in your pet record-keeping system isn't "forgetting to record," but rather recording it in another pet's file—especially for cats that look similar and weigh close to each other, or during the week a third pet is temporarily boarded.

The following three are the most frequently reported issues in our feedback; here are some correction methods:

  • Same Name, Different Dosage: Both pets are taking deworming medication, but their weights differ by 0.8 kg, resulting in different dosages. Format: Include the pet's name + full product name + the weight for that day in each record title; don't just write "Deworming Completed."
  • Same Bowl, Different Food: Mixing prescription and regular food, but only recording "Switching Food" under one pet's name. Format: Specify "Bowl A / Bowl B" or use color labels in the feeding record; only record the food switch experiment under the name of the pet currently transitioning to the new food.
  • Failure to Change Feeders: A family member gave the medication in the morning, but you selected the wrong file when recording it in the evening. Writing format: Write "Executor + Hour" in the remarks; if unsure who fed the pet, write "To be verified" first, don't randomly select a pet just to complete the record.

It is recommended to spend two minutes each week doing a "record check": Open the list and see if there are any entries with overlapping times but significantly different weights in the last 7 days—this is often a sign of file mismatch.

This product does not provide dosage calculations; the dosage should be based on the veterinarian's prescription and instructions. If you have any questions about medication, consult your veterinarian first, then record it in the corresponding pet's file.
